configuration database server not running

We are getting the following message randomly - e-mailed to the person set up to receive notifications.  (We get the message.  Then we won't get it for a day to even weeks.  Then we'll get the message again.  Then it will go for days or weeks again before we get it.)

"configuration database server not running - restarted"

Is this something to be concerned about?  If so, what can I do about it?

    Version 5 systems are well beyond end of life at this time, I strongly encourage you to move forward to the current version to take advantage of the numerous additions and improvements (as well as bugfixes) included in the updates released in the past few years- and to be in a position to take advantage of the new features and enhancements due out soon in 7.300.

    As far as the configuration DB restarting, that are numerous possible reasons- many are safe to ignore as long as the system's performance is otherwise good.
