What all is included in the home license?

Hi All -

I've been a long time Astaro user, and just tonight upgraded to 6.100. I've had a home license since 2002, and it's about to expire on 11/3. So I logged into my.astaro.com, and renewed my license and converted to the new model. After installing the renewed and converted license, the licensing page still shows that Spam protection is valid until 11/3/05!

What gives with the licensing? Isn't spam protection included? Also, with the new ClamAV in 6.1, what license is needed to use it? Is there somewhere that outlines exactly what is in the free home license? But in the short term, how do I ensure I'll stay spam-free?

    Anti-spam was exchanged for IDS/IPS for home users... wish we could have both, but you get the anti-spam if you purchase the Antivirus/Content filtering for home users.

    It is now called Secure-Email and Secure-Web.

    The Astaro shop for the home user additions isn't the clearest thing in the world, so please bear with me. In the store I see:

     - Surf Protection Subscription for 10 User, 1 year
    - Virus Protection for Email Sub. for 10 User, 1year
    - Virus Protection for Web Sub. for 10 User, 1year

    Then below that:
    Home User Subs - Virus for Email, Virus for Web, Surf Protection

    If I'm reading this right, this is basically virus protection & surf protection. And if I'm understanding you correctly, my spam protection is going to shut off in a few weeks, and I'd have to buy this addition to get it back? Is the spam protection part of virus package? And in the free license, there is no way to get the spam protection? Is there anything else as part of the additional subscription license that may not be clear either? Are both AV engines included in the home license?

    I have a home licence using V6.100 and I have IDS, both virii scanners, surf protection. Currently debating whether to disable a commercial product from my desktop and only use it for CD/DVDs.

    I am very happy with it.

    good morning to ALL,
    it seems that I've got a similar problem,
    I have a home user license with anti-spam enabled (no antivirus or another pay-license) but when I try to upgrade the database of anti-spam I encountered this :

    Have I done some misconfiguration in ASG 6.100?
    I think that ASL Team have change the policies for the license but,,,WHAT??

    No.. you never used to have Up2Dates for anti-spam.. so your antispam license is still valid. The RDJ up2dates are if you have a subscription to Secure Email. They have changed nothing for the license.
