ppoe problem?

i installed asl 6.001 and updated to 6.004.
ppoe line is dropping connection and wont come up. after restarting it works for a few minutes then it drops again.
then i changed the mtu size from 1492 to 1450. now it works fine.

if you dont have the right mtu size , this is a normal behavior...

there was no question. only sharing knowledge. if someone else has the same problem they maybe can solve it.

how should i know that i have a different mtu size if my isp is not telling me? [:S]

Suprised it isn't automatically negotiated at connection time.
