Restart services via ssh?

One of my ASL boxes frequently shuts down services.  I'd like to be able to restart those services via ssh.  Is this possible?? And if so, can somebody tell me how the heck to ssh into ASL?  What username and password should I be using?  Is there a list of commands somewhere to restart services?

    You need to login as "loginuser".

    The password for loginuser was set when you setup the box.

    From there, you can
    su -
    and get root (with root's password).

    Astaro's services are not really documented, but if you post which ones you're having trouble with (or search these forums), perhaps someone knows how to restart those.
