Restore of Backup file fails since 6.002 update

Hi all
I have just noticed that the backup files have decreased in size from 119kb to 20kb since the update to 6.002 was installed.
The reason I found this was because I rebuilt the FW box and did a restore, only to find that none of the network definitions, packet filter rules, service definition rules came across. I then had a look at the backup files that are created daily and did a restore from a pre 6.002, that things came back.

Any thoughts,
 is this a bug?, 
anybody else file sizes change?

    Mark,
    just had a look at my v5 and v6 backup files and they are all around the mid 90k mark. I note they grew as I added more functionality.

    I did a v5 to v6 upgrade (home license).  I was surprised to see none of my packet filter rules were restored from the backup.    Just a few things were restored (like NAT rules and some other basic items).  Looking at the abf file I see it is just a tar ball.  I could find no packet filter definitions anywhere.  Is it normal for the backups to not contain the packet filter rules?

    Incidientally if I do a backup with v6 I still cannot get packet filter rules restored.  No big deal.  I had few enough rules it was no problem to recreate from scratch...

    Did you change the physical components in the box eg removed a NIC card? If the physical configuration is different the rules won't restore.

    I did th eupgrade from 5.206 to 6.001 and restored my configuration without a hassle. Make sure you do it after you have run your licence install.

    Hi all, As an update.
    I rebuilt that box a number of times experimenting with building a new install adding some general rules and sent backup to email. reinstalled Astaro and uploaded backup with still the same effect no packet filter rules imported, etc. I required to add more hardware to Astro, so built a new box. At this stage I have been able to restore backups with this harware. Still very strange as the old box worked perfectly for  1 1/2 years and had only a couple of problem since patch 6.002.

    In the 1st case (v5 to v6) no.  In the second case (v6 to v6) yes.
