What does "Convert License Model" do?

Hi 

I just had a home user license for my ASL 5 and I just downloaded ASL 6. I did not get any new license for ASL6 but I found there is a button "Convert License Model" after I login MyAstaro->License.

What is that button for ? what is a base license ?
