Hi!
I've read that licensing is based on a count of IPs that connect through the ASL firewall to/from the Internet. I was curious if there was some allowance for machines that have multiple IPs aliased on them, such as in a virtual hosting environment? In that case, would MAC address counting be available?
If I bought ASL-50, which would cover my servers (based on IPs) and workstations for the base system, can I buy a 10 user Secure Web subscription that only covers my workstations (we don't surf/receive email/etc from the servers)?
If I buy the HA option, do I need to pay twice for other addon subscriptions, like Secure Web?
Do my maintenance fees include product upgrades?
Can I use any VPN client, such as those from openvpn.net?
Load Balancing - is it really limited to only two servers? Can someone please point me to some good documentation on this feature?
Is anyone using Astaro Report Manager? Are you getting much value from it? Do I really need to provide a Windows based machine to use it (box+ Win2003 server license)? Other than a few basic XP workstations, we are entirely Linux based..
If I decide to take Basic Support, is direct person-to-person support available on a per incident ("What is your credit card number, Sir?") basis?
Sorry for the 20 questions. Hopefully, they are reasonable. [:)]
Thanks!
