Lost SSH password

I don't remember the password for to login with SSH to my IGWALL M.

I don't remember if I changed the password after the initial setup.

There is a way for to find it? Or there is someone knows the initial password?

    There is no default password for SSH, SSH is not even enabled by default. Did you set the passwords at the first WebAdmin access? Can you still log into WebAdmin?

    I can login to WebAdmin. I know the password

    When I try to login with SSH I receive a request for an user name/password. I tried the same user name and password for the web admin console, but I received an error message (wrong  user name or password).

    I don't remember if I changed it after the first setup

    Can I reset that password?

    Login via WebAdmin
    Go to \System \Settings

    In the lower section you'll find the Password reset options.

    :: Password and factory reset ::
    To reset system passwords and the predefined 'admin' account password, select the Reset passwords only option. This will immediately bring up the password entry screen. To additionally halt the system, select Reset passwords and halt system. The password screen will then be shown with WebAdmin access after the next bootup.
    A Factory reset will overwrite the whole firewall configuration with default values and the halt the system. WARNING: This will completely reset the configuration on the system to default and delete all logfiles !!

    Just do a Password reset, a Factory reset will also reset all of your configuration !!!

    ...isn't the ssh user name "loginuser" ? In my opinion the web admin user is wrong....

    I'm sorry for the late in my reply.

    I reset the passwords. So I can connect like user loginuser.

    But I need to clean the dir /var/Up2Date so I must login to my firewall as ROOT.

    When I try the login as ROOT I receive an error messagge in two of my SSH client:

    1. With Putty.exe: Server unexpectedly closed network connection;

    2. With SSH Secure Shell Client: Server responded "Connection closed".

    I don't know why....  [:(]

    Hi,

    after password reset you normaly give the password for admin (webadmin), loginuser (ssh access), and root.

    first connect to the astaro using the loginuser, after you logged in type su and enter the root password.

    Hello,
    I have the same problem : when trying to connect with SSH, this message appears : "Login incorrect", so i try to do it with ths command line interface in astaro but the same thing.
    I reset password from webadmin but the problem is not resolved.
