Home user License Renewal

I'm sure this has been asked before but here it goes. I have been using astaro since version 2. I've had the same Home User/Small Office license throughout. Its the free license that Astaro gave to us. Well mine says its going to expire on 6-12-05. I have been searching the site for info on renewing the Up2Date license. 
After sending in a support "incident" I recieved an email about going to Leanshop for license renewal. Well, they are offering virus and surf protection. I have never used that. All I want  is a valid license so I can receive "core" version patches/updates. Does Astaro even have such a Home user license or did they quit offering it?? 
Its pretty confusing.
One other question, I was thinking of updating to version 5 from 4. How do I do this without a License?? Or do I just apply for a new Home user License?? If so, How???
 Any help would br greatly appriciated!!

    just goto https://my.astaro.com/login.php - register and you'll get a home user licence for v5. after downloading the licence you can copy a part of the licence string and import it to v4 if you still want to use v4. that's it

    Ok!!! I now have a version 5 license that expires on 6-12-05.  What I wanted to do is renew the Up2Date license.

    no, you said that you want a home user licence and this is what you can get at myastaro.

    [/ QUOTE ]In that case, you used the web site to upgrade your old license to ver 5. Such an upgrade retains the original expiry date

    You need to apply for a new home user license, with a new expiry date, and then use a substring from it in your old Astaro installation.

    Thanks for the Info. This is what I wanted. Now, do I just create a new account thus generating a new license, or is there a link for renewing the home user license??

    Update: I didn't see the link on the license page..... must have been a brain fart.  It seems that the link takes me to a page that states
     "The home use key is currently inactive. Please contact us for further information."  Is this because it is not within the 30 experation time?? Do I have to wait for the old license to expire before I can renew??

    Solved!!! I was digging around and found the solution. You have to actually open the link to the present license and there is a renew button for an additional 2 years. The link for the renewal wasn't there last week so it must be autogenerated as the time for renewal/experation draws near.
