Interface Uplink Usage Exceeds Usage Limit

I keep getting notifications like the following

Subject: [WARN-158] Interface uplink usage exceeds configured limit

Body: Current usage (15 min average): 8.29% - 41.4 kb/s

Interface Name  : WAN (eth1)
Uplink Bandwidth: 500 kb/s
Lower Boundary   : 0%...off%
Upper Boundary   : off%...100%

Does anyone know what this means exaclty? I do have the limits of my line set for the WAN Interface if that helps.

Cheers

  • Hi,

that's a bug. Thanks for the hint.

    Workaround:

Don't set "Notify when up/down-link usage exceeds" to "off", but use a numeric value instead (e.g. 95%) - if that's appropriate.
Otherwise switch the whole feature off for this interface ("Monitor interface usage").

So you will only suffer from this bug if your intention is monitoring  minimum bandwidth without monitoring maximum bandwidth.

As usual - we'll fix that with one of our next updates.
  • Thanks alot. I figured that may be the case.
