Reset user (IPs) listing:

It is not possible to reset it without rebooting. If your license limit is continuously exceeded although you are sure that you never had that amount of active clients, contact Astaro support for help.

I'm starting to think that this REALLY needs to reset itself after some time period...

My laptops get counted 2x because sometimes I use ethernet and sometimes wireless (ASL is Wireless AP).

So, at home I'm at 9 licensed users counted, even though 1 is a print server (which uses DHCP to get it's address), and 4 licenses are actually only 2 laptops which are double counted becuase they also have wireless nics.
Rest is 3 PC's and one server.
If a friend came over, I'd be at or over the limit.

Imagine if my city library was using ASL (they offer free wireless).

If they had 5 different people come in every day, then after 10 days they could be using 50 licenses, depending on how things are counted and how quickly DHCP lease expire, ...

It really would be nice if the licenses would get cleared after a few days or a week or whatever.
Or at least if the Reset button didn't have to reboot!!!

Which is what I've been asking for all along [:)]

When you have people constantly coming and going, the IP's add up even though you never have X number of machines in use at once.

We have wireless as well, so when theres a meeting and people unplug from wire, go to meeting room on wireless BOOM more IP's used.

Plus people coming in and out of office.

That’s correct, we have a lot people coming and going from different offices and i know for sure we are never over the license limit even though the asl say so.

Our ASL is releasing addresses on its own, from time to time, so maybe there's a period of time after which IPs are "forgotten" ?

ASL 5.100 introduced a new expiry limit of 30 days.
