Problems migrating 4 to 5

I did the migration from 4.021 to 5.010. Everything was OK except that the order of the packet filter rules in 4.021 were changed once I restore the backup into version 5.010 so the firewall was unuseable... so I need to migrate back.

Any idea? What I did was setting up a pararell machine, install version 5.010 on it, running backup on the 4.021 one and restore that backup on the 5.010.

So... why the order of packet filters ruler were changed? All of them shows rule number 0 at the v5.010.

    Fernandez,
    there was a problem with the numbers of the packet filters in earlier version. A workaround for me was to add temporaly a packet filter rule and the order was as before. In newer versions the problem is fixed, so I recommend to update to the latest version 5.1.

    I think you are wrong. To migrate to 5.100 yo need to have a backup on 5.027 not in 4.021. I'm going to try first 5.027 from 4.021 to see if works.

    Anyway... I didn't understand the other solution you gave me.... Do you mean adding a dummy filter rule at 5.010 and the issuing the restore backup???
