Getting 5.1 via Up2Date packet???

Just checking, I thought there wasn't going to be an Up2Date packet for 5.1, I read it had to be reinstalled. Now my ASL presents me an already downloaded packet.
Not that I'm complaining, that would be great

  • A up2date package was planned and released. Same as a normal up2date. Just a jump in the version number to indicate the benefit of the bunch of new features.

  • I'm wary of this too.  My beta downloaded the 5.1 up2date but reads "Required version is 5.027"

I'm going to go ahead and try the up2date this afternoon, if it fails, I already have the 5.1 ISO downloaded.

I suspect the beta just grabbed the up2date even though it won't work, or if it does work it may leave your system in an odd state.

    From the beta pre-announcement:
"nor will we publish an Up2Date Package to upgrade from the
pubic BETA to the final ASL V5.100."

I think it's a mistake.  I'll just install fresh ISO.

  • From beta it should not be possible to update. But from 5.027 it is possible.
