Install iptraf

hi all,

to analyse the traffic in my network and through my firewall i have to install iptraf on my asl 4.023.
how can i do that or is there any other tool like iptraf installed on asl.

Search the forums, esp. the beta forum. There have been several posts on how to get it to work.

Hi -
Try this thread.

When searching, the default time period is one week. I found better results by increasing it to a month or a year.

Something I should add to the the other thread, but can't as the beta forum is closed:

on ASL 5, some directories are mounted on ramdisks, and after rebooting will get lost. This can cause IPTraf to not work well, so I created a script called iptraf-setup which I run if ASL has been rebooted. It contains:
mkdir /var/iptraf
mkdir /var/run/iptraf
mkdir /var/log/iptraf
