Web surfing sometimes hangs - What goes wrong ?

Not sure if this is the right forum; but after lots of confusion, tonight I got the first ASL working quite quick and seemingly smooth. But I cannot surf all websites, for example, even with www.yahoo.com although everything is fast with Astaro forum.

Is it because of some configuration in Packet Filter or somewhere else ?  TIA for any advice.

    Are u using the Content Filter and proxy?
    What version u using of Astaro?
    Are u using the DNS Proxy?  If so does it have your ISP DNS forwarders in it?
    Are you using NAT?

    What version u using of Astaro?  5.024

    Are u using the DNS Proxy? If so does it have your ISP DNS forwarders in it?  Yes, I am using DNS proxy.  

    But I don't understand well the meaning of " DNS forwarders in it". Sorry for the novice knowledge. I guess that means the ISP DNS is explicitly seen or configured in DNS proxy. 


    Are you using NAT?   Yes, follow the guide in the Initial Setup manual. It is the masquerading rule: Internal (Network) to All / Any.

    The usual cause of this is not having a Masquerade rule in Network -> Nat/Masquerading.

    Really ?  When I don't have the NAT/Masquerading rule, I can't even reach Internet.
