partition usage

Most of the partition labels in v5 are very obvious. I am wondering something. Is /var/storage for the squid proxy only? If so i am wondering how i am chewing up so much space rofl.. Also what is /var/sec for? /var/log is definitly obvious heh.

Don´t forget the Swapfile... My "At Work" ASL has 3GB Ram, so the 5GB Swapfile makes a BIG Show in the Storage Graphs

I actualy run with the swap off as ASL seems to be affected by the RH memory swapping bug.

Although I am not the expert on that topic, I can say that we do not use Redhat Kernels, therefore I don't think we are affected. But to make sure, please give us more details on this bug and how you are affected, and we will check it.

Yes it is very minor. There is a bug in RH based kernels that the sytem will swap processes out before evacuating the file cache. I have seen this with ASL 5.027 on my machine here. Disabling the swap fixed the swapping issue and had no detrimental effect to the system. Here is a link to the relevant bugzilla:
