It works Astaro with modem 56K?

Hi, I don't understand one what:

I would want to use Astaro in my house's net.
I have installed Astaro on a PC with AMD k6/2-400MHZ and 130MB of Ram and 10GB of HD ... no problem!
In the PC I have installed an modem PCI that Astaro recognizes without problems.
I ask to you: how I make to be connected to Internet from an other PC in net passing for Astaro?
They are not successful to shape Astaro so that he is he to carry out the call to the modem and therefore to a telephone number (pop accesse).

Analog modems are not supported.

Or is this a ADSL modem ??

Maybe the Linux operating system is recognizing the MODEM but the Astaro firewall is not supporting internal analog modems. To get the firewall connected to the outside world you need a cable modem or DSL connection.
Try to use differed software for your project. Here are some suggestions:

uuhm astaro does support ppp over a serial line (somewhere added in the last few updates)
take a look at the interfaces [;)]
it should show up a rs232 port, with that port u can set up a ppp connection with an external serial modem.

pci is not going to work probably.

I thought internal modems include another COM-Port (if it is not a "Winmodem"). If you deactivate the two onboard ports, it should be recognized. Haven't tried it though...
