blocking anonymous proxing

i have found a way to get past the Cobian blocking by using an anonymous proxy server ... is there any way to block proxy servers so that i cannot connect to them?  or, is there some way that Cobian can add Anonymous Proxy Servers to their categories for blockage?  i thought one way might be to use "blackholes.us" list and copy them into the provided manual blockage area, but that's a huge list and it wouldn't be automatically maintained.  ideas?

    this is a configuration issue.

    have you consider to switch http proxy to block the connect method and allow just ftp http and https? i also like the authentication mode, but this is purely a matter of taste

    There are Anonymous Proxies in the Cobion SP (hidden in the "IT" Category).

    Use the "Show/Hide" Button in "Proxies / HTTP /  Surf Protection Categories". There you can change the Subcategories to include the Anonymous Proxies in the Main Category you already blocked (lets say: "Criminal_Activities").

    There was a way of adding new Main Categories, but i don´t remember it right now (search the Forums).

    If you found a "new" Anonymous Proxy that Cobion doesent know use the Cobion Support Link from the Online-Help to report it.

    hehe, i think therefore you would need to employ a whole group. [;)]

    like i said before block it really with the great methods, the proxy has. could you please post your detailed configuration (whitout detailed cobion settings).

    Thank you bce for this suggestion ... when I get home tonight, I'll set the http proxy to block CONNECT methods and only allow ftp, http, https as you suggested!

    Doh!  I should have checked deeper than just the main groups .. thanks for pointing this for me.  I'll add the "Anonymous Proxies" subgroup to one of my main categories when I get home tonight.
