v4 to v5 upgrade?

I've been looking at upgrading my licensed v4 to v5. Astaro website says all v4 licences are eligible for an upgrade to v5.

Now I'm being told that because the Up2Date license has exoired I'm not eligible for the upgrade. Can anyone else confirm this is the case as I'm not convinced?

I haven't tried updating an expired license, only valid ones. And those worked without a problem.

Who told you that? I wouldn't be suprised though, many software companies that charge maintenance fees don't let you upgrade if the maintenance is lapsed.

An Astaro tech support person told me I couldn't. But their website seems to say I can!

I agree about others not letting you if you're not paying yearly. But it sounded like all v4 licences were eligible, no mention of Up2Date requirement, can't even find any smallprint!
