swiching from dsl to cable

I have dsl right now running through my astaro box, but we are moving we can't get dsl in the new area so I will be going with cable. What are the hook differences between cable and dsl with astaro? Do I simpley need to plug it in?

You should only need to plug the Cable modem into the outside connection of your astaro box and set the ethernet to whatever the cable company tells you, probably DHCP. I run both Cable and DSL into my Astaro box and they both work great!

When you switch broadband ISPs, the only issue is whether they are providing straight Ethernet through the broadband modem, or PPoE (logged in Ethernet tunnel over Ethernet).

If both the new and the old ISP provides a straight Ethernet connection where your end is a DHCP client, then the change is a no-brainer. Just plug in and turn on.
