dhcp - mac entries by hand???

hi,

i tried to enter a mac adress for fixed ip.
it's always rejected "seems not to be a valid mac-adress"
even if i copy this from the dhcp-field below.
strange!
anybody tried this?

don't need to hurry - i vi'ed it into /etc/wfe/conf/dhcpd ....

ah its asl 5.023 and firefox 1pr

    oops - you're right!

    i took the mac-adress via copy-paste from the current leasing table  below into the static definition field.
    there is a leading space generated, that i didn't see.
    Using Firefox it is hardly visible..

    foolish mistake - thankyou [;)]

    (doing a "vi /etc/wfe/conf/dhcpd" was working for me, but ...)
