Welll i would like to take this time to thank the astro crew for a well desgnied distro!

Hi!, as you can see da name is therouter he he he figured would be a great place to be in..

Also i'm here for some dire assistance..

so far for instalation was a snap!
Loggin into web interface nada problemo at all!

Supper sweet and fast!
Running off a:
P2 350Mhz 
asus p2b
384 megs pc133
8 gig HDD

yet we already have a suppa nice internal setup.
Really don't wana mess with it too mutch
all we really want to do is setup a vpn server on this box.

I know, I know only 10 clients.. no worries
not major!
Actually 5 is still more then sufficient.

Yet here is da issue..
We have a home based PDC
With serivises currerntly running.

Is there a small guide out there that can assist us with the setup?

    There are forums here dedicated to vpn's..jsut STF..also read the manual for v5 as well..between those two you should be able tog et things up and running..[:)]

    Woot getting further so far all is good, got it all configured, yet now to put it to the test...

    Now if i understand there is this special client SSH Sentinel.

    Question is hmmm
    why can't we use the vpn connector in windows?
    and ehh SSH Sentinel is pricey??

    Any one here have a free ware VPN connector?

    Unless you have major security concerns, whereby IPsec and certificates are required for your VPN connections, then I suggest you keep it simple, and use PPTP VPN tunnels.

    PPTP is the easiest form of VPNs to get up and running, it has 128 bit encryption, and the remote clients can be behind multiple NATs in their end, and will still be able to connect to the Astaro VPN host.
