Error in selfgenerated site certifcate

I am having trouble with V5.019. I just re-installed fresh from CD and installed all patches to bring it up to 5.019. After I set the Web Certificate to a self-generated one it droped me out of the Web Console. Now I can't get back in. Whenever I go to the https address for the Web Console I get a Cannot Find Server error from IE 6. The firewall still responds to ping, so I know that the address is the same. I tried just shutting the firewall off and back on and the Windows client off and back on, but still get the same error. Any ideas?

wasn't that discussed a hundred times here already

Remove all Astaro related certificates from IE's cert cache and relogin or remove IE and use Mozilla ore Netscape

Please read my post...

After changing the the certificate in webadmin, i can not get access to webadmin - i am NOT prompted to install any certificates - the webadmin site is not responding...

in this case I would login and check at fiirst action if the WebAdmin is listening for incoming requests -> netstat -natp, next would be to check if according packet filter rules are set -> iptables -L AUTO_INPUT if that also looks good a look into the according logfile may help to find the problem -> less -S /var/log/xxx, please look around in the directory for the name don't have it in memory @ home I haven't version 5 installed yet. (lack of hardware resources).

Hmm thx for the advice, but i think that there might be an error in the 5.019 update!

Everything was working alright until i installed the v. 5.019 update.

I have solved the problem. I did a factory reset and reinstalled the license and configuration.

Mr Percy missed the point of cylop's post. That is IE had an old cert and was being stupid when astaro presented a different cert.

The solution would have been to remove the original webadmin cert from IE.
