Licensing refresh.

I have a 50IP version of Astaro.
I'd doubt very much if we would go over 50IP's due to the number of computers we have in our office here.  At the moment we are using 75 IP's though !

However I see a lot of stale entries like this one:
192.168.3.146  2004-07-13 15:28  2004-07-13 15:29  
(Last seen 13-7-2004)

This is a month ago !  How often does ASL flush/renew the count?

    I have the same problem! ASL says, that 27 of 25 users are active.

    When I check the current users (IPs) listing, there are IP, that have not been used for nearly a month! That isn't really CURRENT!  [;)]

    Do I have to be concerned?

    On the other hand, the list says, that my IP connected the last time 19 hours ago. That cannot be right, since I'm now working for 2 hours on the webadmin and the internet and yesterday longer than 14:00!

    Hi there all, 

    the licensing does never refresh itself, it just keeps counting.
    But if you feel that your license DB is not current anymore, 
    you can reset the license database manually inside WebAdmin.

    The problem is, that a reset will restart the ASL machine...

    The question is, if this is needed... What does ASL do, when the IP limit is crossed?

    Is there going to be a fix for this?  It makes it a bit hard to accuratly buy ip licenses if the counter does not accuratly track them.

    Why does the counter keep counting?

    We often have visitors come into the office with laptops, sometimes for only an hour or two.  I don't want their IP's counted the next day, next week etc..

    Same with our training room, 6 PC's in there, used maybe twice a month.

    The IP counter should reset every 6 hours or something.


    We shouldn't have IP's counted that aren't in use.

    I noticed, that the Current users (IPs) listing is wrong. A lot of IPs, that definitively connected to the internet using the ASL HTTP Proxy are not listed. Also old IPs have wrong last seen dates!
