forum useless ?

as with all forums there is always a core of users who reply to the majority of questions. This is true of all forums.

Whilst i do not agree with the posters sentiment that the forum is useless I would be intereted to know how the forum fits in with Astaro as a commercial entity.

I already know that Astaro read every post on the forum (as stated elsewhere) however do Astaro have any commitment/goals to answer a percetage of posts?

I suspect that the vast majority of posters are home users with the home user license.

I should point out that I am a relatively new arrival to the forum but it is my perception at least that the unanswered question count has indeed increased recently.

This forum is for discuss asl (end)users. technical support can you get on your salespartner or if you a asl distributor you can contact the asl support.

Support cost time and time is money.    The times of presents are finished!

yes i agree with you in first sentence.

thats nice that astaro read every post, for some time ago they react also to some of the post.. and  thats what i am missing.

yes i am also a home user.. and i have to buy commercial support to get simple answer ?  not all users here can answer all the questions that come up with ASL .. so it would be nice that the admins take 10 min to answer those questions, a day.. is it so hard 10 min a day ? or maybe just 5 min a day...

for me the ASL admin support lags here in the forum, i like some more support as they did in the past.

have you pay for the support? if not, nobody is obligate to help you. as your declaration you are not older than 15 years.

whist the wording of the oroginal post was quite inflamatory it does raise an intereting point.

can we consider that point and stay away from flames [;)]

I have this forum extremely useful.  I have leanred much here..and without having to pester astaro support(which is being kept quite busy with the teething problems v5 has experienced.)  It is great to have all of this informaiton in a searchable 24/7 available format and not have to wit for astaro support.  We even have the please of having an active Astaro Premier partner who posts regularly.  These forums are far from useless.  Take a few weeks or months to explore....[:)]

sure the forum IS usefull (user<>user help) , but as i wrote.. as user you´ll come to a point where only the admins can help you.. so it would be nice to have a littel sign here from the ASL side.. like : yes dudes , we are real busy because of ASL V5 and if we got some time weĺl  help you out... but nothing ...  i mean thats the point.. you hear nothing.. not from v4  (updates?) and not from V5
