max concurrent connections

3 questions:
What's the max number of concurrent users, with and without proxy?
What's the max number of VPN tunnels Astaro supports?
What the throughput? 

I know it depends on hardware, let's put an example of the next server:
-Pentium 4 2GHZ
-256 RAM
-IDE Hard disk

    Actually, one of your biggest considerations should be memory as that is normally what winds up controlling the number of concurrent sessions, and is a boon to mass VPN connections.  A combination of Proc and Memory is what is used for new sessions per second. I am unsure of what Astaro uses as a base line, as I have yet to task my box.

    I don't have that sort of config, but on a P3-800 I'm seeing up to 6000 concurrent connections with bandwidth saturation being the limit.

    I've had no problems saturating a 2Mb link, I'll have a 5Mb link in a few weeks, but there might be others with more "impressive" links who would have an idea of maximum throughput.

    the vpn's will be cpu intensive due to the encrytiopn traffic...and depending on the other features you ahve on you will be constrained by ram..256 is the lower limit of a base isntall(unless you do some cli editing)..
