Number of protected users, how to count them?

hello together,

I'm using a new installed ASL V5 with a demo license. There is an unknown number of clients/users behind the fw including some roadwarriors and no easy way to count them. How can I identify the "number of protected users"? This info is needed to buy the appropiate license.

Does asl count the number of protected users? If yes, where to find?

    Hi boris,

    you don't need to count that exactly but i'm sure you know if your network is about
    10, 25, 50, 100, 250, 500 or more users ?  [;)]

    But you can also try the ASL menu
    \System\Licensing
    On the bottom you'll find a menu called 'Licensed users (IPs)'
    Press start and see what's going on. But it can be that the result is false.
    I remember that in the forum it was told that this feature is not working 100%.

    I want to know: do we have 250 or 270 User? Have I to by a 250 or 500 User license? It's a matter of my budget.

    We have a vpn  with some locations and "friendly" companies. In summary I don't know exactly the number of "protected users" meant by astaro.

    The "Trial License" uses an unlimeted number of users. Wasn't there (in earlier days [;)]h the fw?

    Do I have to plug in my sniffer, monitor the traffic and count by myself?
