So far I have never been able to get ASL v5 to run stable in my companies environment. Individual machines seem to drop in and out of access to the internet. I have the following packet filters rules allowed for the internal network: dns, ftp-control, http, https, and ssh. Ping and Traceroute on firewall is visible. Occasionally a machine drops out and cannot access the internet. If I look at the live filter log the packets are being dropped by the firewall that are expicitly set to be allowed. I can't even ping the firewall it is also dropped by the firewall. If I wait a short while the client will again be able to access the internet. One machine can get out to the internet while at the same time another cannot.
