dyndns problem

I have beent rying to get the ez-ipupdate working after i ahd to reload ASL4.  I et the files installed..modified..chmodded as per the instructions but then when i input hte start command ez-ipupdate refuses to load..no real errors.  This may or may not be related..my license keys have suddenly become invalid so i am running on the 30 day evaluation..any ideas?

    it turns out the astaro has changed the key format to make them no longer backwards compatible with v4.  if you ahve converted your license keys to v5 they will not work in v4 anymore.  I had to contact astaro to get mine converted back to v4 so i could use them..[:)]  NOw maybe the dyndns scripts will run..will be trying them next.

    I decided to try again..no dice the daemon refuses to run.  I have no idea why..i have reloaded astaro 4 times and redownloaded the ez-ipupdate stuff 4 times.  I have no ideas now..

    Did you add a packetfilter rule for http to www.dyndns.org?

    That was covered min my general setup.Ii am really looking forward to v5 and also needed to evaluate smoothwall for clients unwilling or unable to afford astaro(boggles)

    well i got it fixed.  I blew out everything..redownloaded the files..reinstall asl 4 and reinstalled the files and it works now..weird..I had to have been screwing something up.
