MSN and ASL 5

Has anyone noticed with ASL v 5.XXX that MSN clients seem to sign in and out very often?

A lot of my users are reporting this. I'm wondering if it's something to do with v5 or just MSN's servers...

I have the same "problem", Windows Messenger logging in and out a lot.

Yes, me too!

I often see people as online, who aren't! Ghost... [;)]

I then found that the v5 IPS system classifies MSN login attempts as highest priority level!!!

But it doesn't block it...

MSN use IE settings so i think you must see if you settings for ex httpproxy is okey or not.

I'm using Miranda.

This works fine with HTTPS proxying. Except the described probs. But with SOCKS proxy it's the same!

Proxy settings are OK.

This seems to be a definite issue with v5. Possibly with the HTTP proxy?

Check if you have a "keep-alive" option in your messenger. This helped me. I also have an auto-reconnect-plugin for miranda, that checks if MSN disconnects automaticly reconnects!

Also check the Messenger Status!
