Version 5 provides the capability to enforce licensing, and I think it's fair to conclude that Astaro eventually intends to utilize this feature. License abuse is a serious problem in general these days (for all software, not just ASL), and for Astaro's sake I hope they come up with a smart implementation plan. Maybe what they'll do is give license violators a grace period (30 days?) before shutting down the system.
