can't login into 4.22 anymore ...

again something strange .....
i can't login to 2 ASL-boxes 4.022
webinterface tells me:
- "can't login, check password .... " logical if i try a wrong password... [;)]
or:
- "WebAdmin in use ...  [no hardware description available] 
   Username:            
   Address or Hostname:            
    You can terminate this users' session by confirming your login, and optionally provide a reason for the takeover."
 (if i try correct pasword) and then in 2nd step:
"empty passwords are not permitted"

anyone ever had this behaviour?

    I think the first time, your password was wrong. 
    Wheater the last time you did not finish the session cleany, or somebody is already logged in. You can click on the 'Login' button to enter the confguration interface.

    of course first time the password was wrong!
    sorry, if i was not writing clear enough

    there is some kind of mistake on the machine!
    when i try to login i get two cases

    case1: wrong password gives normal errormessage.

    case2: right password gives "user logged in" but:
    - no ip-nr where the login was coming from
    - no possibility to kick this session.

    i mean, i canNOT enter the configuration interface by clicking on the 'Login' button !!!!! (didn't i say so???)

    i think there was a login-mistake while login from my machine, (so it's a session of my own). but i cannot tell exactly how i got into this state.

    seems i have to find out on my own again ...
    if i find out how it was, i could post it here, if someone is interested in this.

    Is your authentication daemon running? Have a look in your daemon-logfile.
