Searching a firewall solution

Hi

I rented a rack in a datacenter and have 5 Webservers with WHM/Cpanel in it. In the future, I will get more servers.

Now I need a firewall sollution, which will grow with my needs. I was just reading the astaro website and it looks like, it's exactly what I need.

Actually, I need just port blocking and want to be safe from DDOS attacks. I don't need NAT, DMZ and all this other things.

The best thing would be, to have a firewall on Layer2. Is it possible to configure Astaro in a transparent Layer2 mode?

How many sessions can I have at the same time with this solution? Is it possible to see how many sessions I use right now?

And when I order, I need to say for how many Users. Is this the amount of IP Addresses I want to protect behind a firewall?

    I'm not a network expert and am unsure exactly what "transparent level 2" firewalling is, but from a quick google I'm pretty sure Astaro Security Linux will do what you want easily.

    The number of licenses = number of IP addresses protected by Astaro Security Linux.
