SSH login error

when I used WINSCP windows client for login to Astaro v.5 as root I received the following error:

2004:05:29-15:34:17 (none) sshd[3720]: Could not reverse map address 192.168.115.1.
2004:05:29-15:34:17 (none) sshd[3720]: ROOT LOGIN REFUSED FROM 192.168.115.1
2004:05:29-15:34:17 (none) sshd[3720]: Failed password for root from 192.168.115.1 port 3092 ssh2
2004:05:29-15:34:17 (none) sshd[3720]: fatal: monitor_read: unsupported request: 32

I am sour I enter correct password so where is the wrong?

via ssh you can only login as loginuser and than switch to root

Thanks I can login by loginuser,, but would like to login as root, kindly help me how I can switch to root.

ssh loginuser@your_box -> enter the passwort -> then enter su ->
and root´s password.

that´s it.

works great with putty, but how do you do it with winscp ??

kafsar,
think you need to go via users home directory.
copy the files there and then go on via putty console

Some clients enable you to issue a command from the program, in this way you can issue the su command and get root.
