Can not ping external address from outside

I can not ping my external address. I can ping anywhere from internal address.
e.g. ping yahoo.com successful from internal IP. If I ping my external IP from outside it fails.

Have you enabled "Firewall is ping visible" in packet filter (ICMP Settings) OR have you added a rules in packet filter ?

Yes, still not working.
Not only can not ping, can not ftp telnet etc.

where are you trying to ping from?

is it somewhere in the internal network?

Ping from home, library, school etc. basically from outside.

Can not ping or recognize my external IP address from outside.

Do you see packets being dropped in the log?

Your ISP may have stopped pings etc due to nachii etc

It was a later revision of the blaster worm designed to clean up an infected PC, but it used ping to discover infected host so made the situation worse. Also known as welchia. See:

Other UNIX don't have virus problem.

Nope its strictly a windows 2000/XP problem, but at the time a lot of networks stopped pings at the border becasue compromised windows hosts where flooding the network.
