Power user

I would also like to know, as my current one is up for renewal very soon. 

I have filled the existing form now I have upgraded to 5, and also emailed astaro sales directly, without any reply at all currently... so I don't know if a) they didn't get them b) I'm no longer eligible (have had v3 and v4 power license) c) something else......  [:S]

by the way, did you see my posting about the vlan driver for the 3c59x cards..... I think it was you that replied when I tested the driver for v4, and the problem is back with v5..... I've not seen any replies to the thread, but am ready and waiting to test any ideas or new drivers [:)]

I must be totally blind.. I didn't see the form posted to apply for it....William or kd how did you do it?

"You can request this power home use license via our fax form on http://www.astaro.com [click "Licensing" in the menu]. Please make sure that you have entered your valid UBB Member Number. You do not need to order the Virus or Surf Protection option in order to receive the power home user license."

Thats what the manual says to do. Simon Shaw says he emailed sales directly to get his power licence.

I got the form from the main astaro.com website. I also mailed sales directly, and my license has now come through... however, as per the posting in "announcements" I was expecting it to be a full poweruser bundle license, which either it isn't, or there is an error (as whcn I applied it nothing was different in the features available to me from before). I have replied to the mail telling me my upgrade code asking for confirmation.

the new power user license gives you the home user subscription bundle for free.  Since there is not more nic or smtp limits that is what the power users get now..which at least for me is great..[:)]

when you say "home user subscription bundle for free" can I assume you mean virus protection etc bundle that is normally €59 ??
