Is version 5.007 stable for my needs?

I am using ASL 4.021. I have waited for ver 5 to get stable enough before I install it in our LAN. Ver 5 has a new facility with failover for two wan-lines, a feature I would like to start using asop.
We are using ASL as a firewall(!), as html-proxy, pop3 proxy/antivirus, smtp proxy/antivirus.
I have limited possibilities to fully test ver 5, but I hope someone who reads this knows better. Will ver 5.007 be stable enough for me? (Assume hardware is no problem.)

    That is a tough question for anyone but yourself to answer.

    Version 5 will give you a number of new features. However, if you take a good read through the message threads that have been running in the various forums on this BBS during the past couple of months, you'll see that you'll get some bugs along with the new features.

    It basically comes down to you evaluating the features versus the bugs. Are you able to live with the flaws? Do you need the new features right away?

    Personally I'm staying with v4 untill v5 development has moved a bit further along. V5 is still a work in progress, in my view.

    Same here.. I *could* roll out version 5 now, but I think I will wait a bit longer, keep an eye on posts here to see what people are reporting.

    I also have to upgrade my ASL hardware.

    It's close to being finished, but I'm going to wait a bit longer.
