Automatic IP renewal

i had the problem. But now i have fixed ip addresses over t-dsl an now i can renew my connection when ever i will.

We have the T-DSL Business 3000 with 512 UpStream, but the T-Com girl said, there's no chance to get fixed IPs with T-DSL! Can you name me the feature?

But thats just one side of the medal.

The other is, that after 24 hours, the connection is reseted. At this point all connections get lost. And since we use Terminal-Servers for presentation and FTP-Server for upload to our customers, this is VERY annoying!

For this reason, we want to force a reconnect at midnight, when nobody should use our line...

i can configure the time i will reconnect my dsl. I use an other provider, not the telekom. I only need t-dsl with othe rprovider it doesn´t work.

Where do you configure the reconnection time? At your provider or in ASTARO?

And could you please name the provider?
I know that for example KAMP offers fixed IPs...

Hello thorsten,
first excuse me that i answer so late. To configure the connection time is not a feature from the asl. The provider for the fixes ip addresses over pppoe it´s me. that means i have rent traffic from the telekom and customer can dialin and ever the same ip address.

you can do it by script. DSL.sh does the "dial in" .Perhaps you can use this script.

for all the german users looking for a cheap static ip solution with dsl, take a look at http://www.kamp-dsl.de
i think they have good options and conditions.

We have a T-DSL Business Line with 512 Kbit/s Upstream.
And since KAMP doesn't support this, changing the provider is not an option.

And you can save the 10 bucks for a fixed IP, since v5 supports the DynDns service!

Furthermore, they don't have fixed disconnection times...
And that's the main problem!

but i´m sure that you know that dyndns isn´t the hit. better 10€/month for a classical solution. 

i´m using a dyndns service, but with a full quallified domain and i want to change.

It's a shame that the Telekom does not provide fixed IPs for the business customers!

But since we have 5GB free traffic in the monthly fee and thats nearly our monthly upcome, there's no reason for a second contract... So we'll continue messing around with DynDns.
