Hi. I have v4 and have used it for at least 6 months. I have never had a problem with it and have always had the same speed connection as my friends do when they are directly connected. for some reason the last month or so I have noticed that I have been slowed down significantly. So I did a test on dslreports.com. 206k dl/238k up!!! when I directly connect to my modem I get 3074k dl/ 238k up!!! I have ran the test in the past and never had it as slow as it is now. something is wrong with my asl box. I have not changed anything hardware or options except for a couple of filter rules and stuff. Which would have nothing to do with speed of webpages and stuff. my asl box is an AMD Athlon 800, with 64 megs of ram, and a 6 gig hd. my logs show the same except for the decrease in throughput. 40 megs of ram is being used, like it has since I got asl, etc... Has anybody had these symptoms b4?? could I be having a hardware failure?? it is in my closet [:)]n advance.
