server same machine

Hi,
Is it possible to have a web, game, dns..server on the same computer as astaro? I was thinking along the llines of partitioning the hd and adding another nic. But I'm not sure how secure that would be.

    Bad idea, a firewall is a perimiter device and should remain locked down.
    I suppose since we are talking about nix here with some hacking you could run whatever you wanted on it. I say again, Bad Idea.

    You can run multiple virtual machines that are running different operating systems by using a virtual machine manager software product such a VMware. However, you will need a very fast CPU and a machine with 1 to 2 GB RAM in it to make this viable.

    Even if it is technically possible to do so, running a firewall such as ASL on the same hardware that you are using as a workstation, remains a very bad idea. Firewalls should be run on dedicated hardware.
