Does somebody have Surf Protection running on 5.004? I bought a home user license yesterday and I’m very disappointed about this feature. In some cases the “Surf Protection” is blocking everything (that’s secure!) or is blocking nothing. I couldn’t figure out what really happened. If I enable the HTTP virus protection, browsing slows down a lot. I’ve read all the posts in this forum and found out that other users have the same problem.
From my point of view, the home user license is wasted money at the moment and I recommend waiting until they fixed at least the Surf Protection.
I also have a problem with the license itself. I used ASL 4 before and had a Surf Protection option running. This option expired in February 2004. I wanted to wait until ASL 5 is more stable. I installed the new license yesterday, but (surprise surprise) the installed option is just valid until February 2005. I expected a whole year and not just 8 month.
It would be very nice from Astaro if they could extend the license because of these problems. At the moment I’m just using POP3 virus protection. I expected much more.
