Version 5.003 - My report

Hi all,

I'm  running on version 5 for 3 weeks now, here is a short conclusion:

+ the webadmin looks much better now, it seems to be a little bit faster on my PII-400, 256MB RAM, 8GB HDD than version 4
+ the DynDNS-Feature is just fine, so I don't have to install a dyndns-client
+ dynamic definitions, nice feature for IPSec-Tunnels on T-DSL with ISP-disconnection every 24h

- sometimes the router seems to be overloaded, the webadmin does not respond for half a minute or more. I have dns-proxy enabled, 2 ipsec-tunnels, about 10 filter-rules and the router just handles my internet-traffic (768kbit/s) via two interfaces (pppoe - internal ethernet)

- strange router-behavoiur:
Example 1: today I installed a new license - without any warning the router was offline (every interface) for about 5 minutes?!?
Example 2: within the last 2 weeks i had to restart the dns-proxy two times, because the local dns-resolution did not work
Example 3: the pppoe-connect-after-disconnect problem (resolved with 5.002)

- the reporting-graphs for network-interfaces are unusable. I have a graph for every hardware-interface although i just use two of them, is that correct?
The same thing for IPSec: I have four ipsec-graphs although i have only two ipsec-tunnels.
And every graph shows the same: nothing. except one peak every day at 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.. This peak is at 100mbit, on my ppp0 graph too (my connection is on 768kbits) ?!

- last one: adding filter-rules is sllloooooooww. maybe my server is too old...

    I can add a short Report too:

    I have the same Problems with DNS resolve, Network Graphics and since yesterday the HTTP Proxy ...still doesn't woork also the pop3 proxy.
    My System isn't a Production System so - try and error, have some fun.....

    Slow... yes but on a 1Ghz Engine not so extremly..

    Some details looks muchbetter than in ASL4 and some Features are very nice (hope they work better in a further Version) like Virus Wall.

    A question up to your configuration: You have two pppoe Interfaces work ?? Is this right?
