Packet Logs v 4.x and 5.x

Both the kernel log and the packet filter log show packets and requests that were dropped but is there any log that shows packets that were allowed through? I know there is an accounting log but it doesn't seem very detailed. In fact it looks like it lumps stuff together.

they will show accept as well but drops always far outnumber the accepted entries..in v5 type drop in the filter and you will see the accepted packets.

I checked the kernel log and packet filter log but I swear it is all drops. Any ideas? Is there a switch to turn on loging of accepted packets that I might have not turned on?
