Packet Filter / Rules

I have 78 Rules in my Rulbase, i wonder a bit for the time it takes to open my rulbase, about 25 to 30sec? if i make a TOP on the console and load my rulebase i have a load of 99% for about 5 to 10 sec. after there is NO load, but i takes another 20 sec. to bring the data on my screen and it's not my connection [:)]deas?

known issue..there is a bug in v5 that makes it go slow in the packet filter..their suggested workaround is add ram(like another 512 megs) or wait for 5.001.

i have 1Gig RAM, think that should be realy enough or? [:)]

well the bug involves a .pl files chewing up over 500 megs of ram by itself....(that is what was posted) so 1 gig may not be enough..wait for 5.001..[:)]
