Licensed users IP's

Today some strange IP's appeared in the Licensed user's IP's (V5). One of them: 80.55.199.58. This is not a public ip of mine, nor a private. What's happening?  [:S]

    i have the same thing i'm at 509 used licenses now. [:(]
    and i have no idea what is cousing it.

    aha i just found it [:)]
    this is my wan ip / subnet mask :
    80.126.118.181 / 255.0.0.0

    and here is an part of the license log:

    so it looks like it is logging everything within my wan subnet.

    On my IP list there are a lot of IP's wich are not even close to my subnet. BTW: where did you find the license log?

    go to local logs > browse > an then click (show support logs) on the top (red text).

    i just took a better look at my log file and it is only adding host's within my external subnet :?

    i'm now at 498 licenses [:P]

    Hmmm, it makes no sense to me. Maybe the Astaro guys could take a look at this?

    yeah this can really cause problems if it is starting to block new "users".

    Got some more IP's on the list now. Seems me to be all IP's from Emule clients connecting to my PC on the inside of the LAN. Strange behaviour in my opinion. So every client connecting from the outside to the inside will be a licensed IP? Nice if you have a busy webserver on the inside

    That's what's happening to me.  I have a decently busy webserver and forums for our local club and I'm racking up the IPs like it's cool.  This concerns me.

    I believe that's the plan for V5... you pay by # of connections, so each connection to your servers or from your clients would count.

    I think you can change the settings in emule to lower the number of connections... yep, there's a "Max Connections" option in eMule.

    Counting broadcasts or whatever from WAN sounds bad though... I wonder if dropping them would help?

    In that case there still is a problem: Every IP wich connected to my Emule client stys in the licensed IP list. So the list becomes bigger and bigger and bigger. I think that is bad behaviour. The only way to clean up the list is to reset all IP's. In that case the system must reboot  [:(]st.

    i think it's no problem becouse it isn't blocking yet if the license is exceeded.
