DMZ interface as Wireless AP

I haven't seen too many posts on this topic. The HCL lists PCMCIA cards and PCI cradles which "should" work, but aren't  yet tested. 

I was wondering if anyone has successfully setup an ASL box to be a wireless AccessPoint with WEP enabled ? 
If so, what PCI cradle and what PCMCIA card are you using ?
What 802.11 standards are supported (a,b,g, etc) ?
Where in Australia can I buy a supported cradle and PCMCIA card ?

My customer plans to configure the AP functionality on the DMZ/WLAN interface.

    I run a wireless 802.11b access point off the ASL DMZ interface, but I use a seperate, external access point for this.

    My ASL firewall sits in a basement closet, which would not be ideal for radio coverage. My access point is on the second floor, which is perfect for radio coverage.

    Just because an ASL box can be a wi-fi access point, with the right wi-fi hardware installed, this is not by itself a good reason to engineer your system that way. A two component solution, with the ASL firewall router and the wi-fi access point in two seperate locations, connected via a Cat-5 Ethernet cable, will likely result in a more effective and flexible installation.

    That's what I'm doing (2 pieces of equipment). I'm actually using a Wi-Fi router and just plugging the ASL into a LAN interface. Seems to work fine. You have to VPN to the ASL box to do anything so security is pretty good.
