isdn backup feature ?

e.g. we build up a vpn connection with head office and client; clients do have xdsl internet connections On our experience connection sometimes is failing. We do need backup feature through  isdn telephone line. We noticed that Astaro
Security Linux Appliance products do not have isdn backup possibility.
Question: If xdsl connection is failing, what about vpn and astaro, How to backup line for our business.

    Sorry but in my opinion there is something wrong in your consideration.
    In general Isdn line ( or some other backup line ) are connected to a device such as Router.
    Obviusly your ip change in backup line so you'll need to generate a certificate ( for example ) based on some other charateristic.

    Certificate can be also based  on e-mail address.

    There is on board described also a way how to make backup ISDN connection, but it requires quite some skils an knowledge of Linux. Besides you would also need to reroute your outgoing traffic. 
    You may also not forget that with ISDN you also get always other IP address.

    Hi,
    a simple way to connect ASL with ISDN is to use a ISDN-Router and connect its ethernet with ASL. if i understand you right you have a DSL-Connection in wich you would connect your ASL via VPN to your Company. This Config could run via ISDN-router.
    Look for the upcomming ASL-V5 it would make things like you look for much easier to do.
