fw-notify.net is blacklisted ??

Good day all!

I'am getting this message in Proxy content Manager(V4.020)?
"571 fw-notify.net is blacklisted by dsn.rfc-ignorant.org ".

Is there someone who knows why?
It worked before.........

    yes because that is an invalid return mail address...many spammers use invalid e-mail addresses to try to bypass spam filters..go through your settings and change them all to a valid e-mail address

    Hi William,

    It worked before!
    I didn't change anything, normally i will recieve mail add the (postmaster)=Administrator e-mail addresses!
    now it will stay in the Proxy content manager??
    This is the error:

    firewall_silverone@XXXXXXXX.nl 
    SMTP error from remote mailer after MAIL FROM: SIZE=2094: 
    host mail.xxxx.nl [IP-Range]: 571 fw-notify.net is blacklisted by dsn.rfc-ignorant.org 

    Witch settings are you talking about then?

    afaik fw-notify.net has a valid MX, sure it points to nowhere but it should be good enough to prevent from being blocked by sender verifying MTAs.

    Nevertheless have a look at  /usr/local/bin/anotifier line 71 ;-) 

    Be aware that the Up2Date service may override your manually applied settings!

    here are the areas to change the fw-notify to a valid address..btw that site that is blocking you go to their website..many do not follow the RFC's that make life better for network admins on the net..here are the areas to change your e-mail address:
    dns proxy
    smtp proxy
    general system settings(under system-settings)
    backup
    those are the basic ones..[:)]

    It is completely discretionary as to who gets blacklisted (and when!). The best thing to do is to get in touch with the domain doing the blacklisting; or, as the men suggest, change your Email identity.

    Went into nslookup, did set type=soa (start of authorty), entered rfc-ignorant.org, got back that the responsible mail addr is hostmaster.megacity.org (hostmaster@megacity..., I'm sure...)

    Drop him a line and asks what problem he has with that address...

    Was a question of time to be listed there    It was listed in September 2003 already and this is the first thread about it so i assume that not too many Astaro users care about.

    Since there is no responsible mail server for this domain which accepts bounce messages it violates RFC 2476 that's a fact.

    On the other hand it is very stupid (IMHO) to use RFC- ignorant.org as RBL list -  it is too picky.

    I have solved this Issue with editing the "anotifier" file in the ASL Box from the : to a valid
    E-Mail Adress.
