Wireless security

My organization is considering purchasing the security appliance, and gave me the task of investigating its capablities. One thing the documentation really doesn't go into depth about is the capablities of the wireless security portion. Can somebody clue me in?

    With Astaro, it is possible to have a wireless interface, and use this as a seperate network. (DMZ)

    This has the advantage of keeping your less secure wireless access away from your main network. 

    You can then define a much stricter security policy for this network than you would for the normal wired network, such as only allowing http and https out, and only mail to your internal mail server.

    The following article explians Wireless DMZ's, and although it isnt astaro focused, all the features can be implemented in astaro:

    I would not advice to use ASL as a WLAN access point. Not, because it´s not good but when it comes to business related considerations you should go for a "simple" access point (like Cisco, Netgear,...) which you can locate everywhere within you company - with ASL you have to extend the antenna cable resp. locate the ASL near the antenna (what makes no sense).

    considering htat ASL 4 only suporst WEP i would not use it as a wireless access point at all..

    In Wireless LAN it's preferibily (aaargh , sorry for my english too) use no wep and permit the access of Wclient in a DMZ.With a IPsec connection you can estabilishing a really secure network and permit to the Client the access of the LAN.
