Home version: How many parallel users allowed?

Hi @ all,

just a simple beginner question: If I'd install the ASL free Home Version on an testmachine, how many simultaneous connected PCs (LAN) are allowed???

Another question would be: 
What are the funtional differences between the free version compared to the commercial ones?

    Hi,

    you can have 10 internal IPs including printservers, WLAN-Accesspoints etc. Also you can use 10 VPN tunnles, 3 NICs and 5 SMTP Domains. If you need virus protection and contendfiltering you can buy a private licenses for virus protection and/or contentfiltering at  Astaro Shop 
    The up2date service is valid for 3 years.

    Thank you for your detailed answers.

    But what are the differences between 10 internal IPs and 3 NICs???

    The optional virus protection sold in the Astaro Shop is described as "SMTP Virus Protection". Does this mean, that the POP3 Virus filtering as already included without paying extra money???

    Let me answer your questions:
    AD 1
    10 IPs  are ment IPs which are behind your FW and you are protecting them from the outside world. This is meant all  IPs from computers, printers, wireless network equipment ...

    AD2
    Virus protection in version 4 is protecting SMTP and POP3 connection through enabled proxy server on your FW, not just SMTP traffic as in version 3.2

    But, sorry for that, I still don't understand the differences in the license information (10 IPs and 3 NICs).
    Let's say I've got 4 PCs in my LAN. Each has a NIC. For sure, I've got less then 10 IPs but more than 3 NICs. Or do they mean public IPs???
